GeneXus Protection Server

Remember that your WorkWithPlus licenses must be managed in the same way as the GeneXus licenses. So, if your GeneXus licenses are not hosted in a GeneXus Protection Server, your WorkWithPlus licenses cannot be managed there.

In order to manage your licenses through the GeneXus Protection Manager, you need to have installed the version 9.5.7 or superior of Protection Server.

In the machine where the Protection Server is installed you have to run a DVelop specific setup for having the option to manage the licenses in the Protection Server. You can download this setup from the following link: Developer Center

After running the setup you will visualize the following wizard:

The "DVelop Protection Server 1.0 Setup (GX Protection Server Add-in)" installer opens on its welcome screen, titled "Welcome to the DVelop License Manager 1.0 setup wizard", with descriptive text about the installation and a copyright warning, plus Cancel, Back, and Next buttons.

Press Next:

The DVelop Protection Server setup wizard shows its final "Installation completed successfully" screen, confirming the GX Protection Server Add-in was installed, with a checked "Open GeneXus Protection Server" checkbox and a "Finish" button.

Now you can open the GeneXus Protection Server:

The GeneXus License Manager main window lists product authorizations in the local computer, with columns for Version, Status, Start/End Date, Copies, Run Level, and Restriction. The "WorkWithPlus" row is highlighted in red showing status "Not authorized", while "SmartDevicesPlus" above it shows "Authorized" with an end date of 2013/11/11 and 17 days left.

WorkWithPlus, SmartDevicesPlus and AuditPlus manage their licenses in the same way. The process is exactly the same for each product.

Here you can do any of the options below:
