Using 'Show generation errors' to identify errors

When we have errors in the compilation, and we cannot identify them easily, one of the possibilities is to activate Show generation errors in Tools> Options> Pattern as shown in the images below.

The right panel lists Misc settings Debug templates (False) and Show generation errors (True, highlighted), with a description below explaining that Show generation errors loads and displays invalid generated objects for diagnosing pattern issues.

The WorkWithPlus Pattern Settings editor shows the Actions tab with the Pagination Bar action selected in the tree, pointed to by a red arrow. The Properties panel on the right lists PaginationBar settings, with Show Applied Filters highlighted in a red box and set to True, alongside other options like Show Previous Button, Show Next Button, Max Pages To Show, and various paging caption labels.

When we activate this option, we do Apply Pattern Instance within the instance that is generating the error, with this the exact line will be specified.

In the GeneXus IDE Tools menu, a red arrow points down to the Options menu item, which is highlighted, among entries like Extensions Manager, Database Reverse Engineering, Import Pattern Instances, Workflow, and Security.

If an error is found when applying, a confirmation panel will be shown. If we press 'Yes' the panel will open as Read-Only in the line that contains the error.

The GeneXus IDE shows a Company transaction object with the Patterns tab active, WorkWithPlus for Web selected and applied. The Structure view lists attributes like CompanyId, CompanyName, CompanyDescription, and CompanyWebSite, and the General Information panel preview shows Id, Name, Description, Web Site, and Create Date fields. A context menu is open over the Pattern properties panel with Update Instance, Mark Instance as Updated, Change Selected Template, Preview, Open WorkWithPlus for Settings, Apply Pattern Instance (highlighted in a red box), and Build With These Only.
