The way for end-users to subscribe to Notifications is by two ways: contextual (in the View or List of the transaction that contains the Notification, depending on the 'Applies to' property of the Notification) or in the option 'Manage my subscriptions' (This is explained in the Subscribe to Notifications section).
In order to have contextual subscriptions, the Standard Action 'Subscriptions' must be present on the Lists and Views of the transactions that you have Notifications. This is done automatically by WorkWithPlus for Web when you run the Design System Wizard, as it adds the Standard Action in all the templates of List and View:
So, if you had WorkWithPlus for Web in your KB, and transactions with the Pattern applied, you need to follow the steps below in order to visualize the 'Subscriptions' action in your objects:
- Update all instances
- Build all
It is important that if this is your scenario, you make WorkWithPlus > for Web > Pattern instances > 'Mark all instances as updated' prior to run the Design System Wizard to enable the Notifications and Subscriptions Module, so that when you make the 'Update all instances' process the only changes that apply is adding this Standard Action.
Note: At runtime, WorkWithPlus for Web automatically hides the action 'Subscriptions' in the lists and views that do not have any subscription to subscribe. So, you can have the Subscriptions Standard Action in all the lists and views of your application.
