WorkWithPlus AI is a module included in WorkWithPlus, designed to unleash the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in your projects and elevate your customers' user experience (UX) through ready-to-use, AI-powered functionalities. By enabling this module, you will be able to incorporate a set of AI-powered features into your applications, designed to offer greater power and flexibility to your customers.
WorkWithPlus AI works by creating a semantic model from the information in the KB (transactions, attributes, filters, security settings, etc.). This information is used to provide the best possible context to the AI, and ensure that the response is as appropriate as possible.
You can find more information about it here.
The main difference is that the WorkWithPlus AI module works by consulting an LLM to implement the different functionalities. The use of AI has an additional cost.
To interact with AI, we have chosen to use GeneXus Enterprise AI due to the advantages it provides (observability, security, etc.)
Other modules such as discussions, multi-tenant, and dynamic forms do not require a subscription to AI services and therefore have no additional costs.
To use the WorkWithPlus AI module, you will need:
- An active WorkWithPlus for Web license.
- A subscription to a special light version of GeneXus Enterprise AI for WorkWithPlus users.
Yes, GeneXus Enterprise AI offers two special plans with different cost structures and request limits. You can choose the plan that best suits your needs here.
Yes, of course!
If you have an active WorkWithPlus for Web license, there is a free version of GeneXus Enterprise AI for development purposes. With this version, you can make up to 50 requests per day at no cost. This version is ideal for those who want to try out the module before committing to a paid subscription. And the best thing is that you don't have to configure anything - by activating the WorkWithPlus AI module, you'll be ready to use this free version for your tests.
The free version of GeneXus Enterprise AI is intended exclusively for development purposes and displays a specific message at runtime. It is limited to 50 requests per day.
To start testing the WorkWithPlus AI module, you only need to activate it in the Design System Wizard and then enable it in each transaction where you want to use it. You don't need to perform any additional configurations or pay for GeneXus Enterprise AI to start using the free version.
You can find more information about it here.
WorkWithPlus AI is designed to ensure the security and privacy of your data in several ways:
- To address user intentions and queries, WorkWithPlus AI processes the data internally without sending your database information to the LLM. Instead, it sends only the results to the LLM to generate responses in natural language. Here is a typical flow of this process for the AI Assistant feature.
- Secure use of LLMs through APIs: since we use GeneXus Enterprise AI, which uses LLMs through APIs, we are certain that these models do not use the information to retrain themselves.
- Integration with GAM definitions and permissions: WorkWithPlus AI fully integrates with GeneXus Access Manager (GAM) definitions and permissions, allowing you to:
- Share your current security definitions.
- Reuse the same access permissions from the listing screens.
- Define specific permissions by entities, attributes or usage modes.
There are two main approaches:
- Assume the cost within your product: you can integrate the cost as an added value that you offer with your product, differentiating yourself from the competition.
- Pass the cost on to your customers: each customer assumes the cost of their own GeneXus Enterprise AI plan, which offers greater flexibility depending on their needs and the number of users.
When making this decision, consider factors such as your product's value proposition, the flexibility you want to offer your customers, and how these approaches could impact your competitiveness in the market. Testing with a small group of users can help you determine the most effective approach.
Once you purchase a GeneXus Enterprise AI plan, you can dynamically configure it in your KB parameters table. This will allow you to share a plan between all your clients or assign an individual one to each client, depending on your needs.
It is recommended to start by testing the functionality with a small group of users to evaluate how they will use it and determine which business model is most suitable.
A suggested approach is to:
- Activate the functionality using the free plan for basic setup and testing.
- Once you have a better understanding of how your clients might use the functionality, purchase a plan, such as the 2000 requests plan, to enable the functionality with a small group of companies or "beta" users.
